Although we will be adding links wherever possible within the blog posts, this section will be a central spot to find links and information on everything that we use during the renovation. We’ll continue to update it as we choose suppliers and make purchases.

None of the contractors or suppliers that we talk about on this site are giving us a discount or free merchandise. Our comments are based on our real-life experience with these people rather then any sort of quid pro quo for us.

• Summit Drywall and Acoustics: Ben Ware and Dan Mack helped us with all stages of our second floor bathroom, laundry room, drywall, built-in bookshelves, and finishing the basement.  Their service is top-rate and their prices are reasonable.  Two solid guys.  416-880-8999

• Real estate agent Greg Mactaggart: We’ve used Greg for 5 years and purchased 2 homes through him.

• Vetro Sheet Metal: We used Vetro to replace our boiler and hot water system. Very friendly and good service. They came back several times to make adjustments to the system at no cost. Call Domenic at 416-499-3458
• Absolute Draining & Plumbing: This company replaced all of our drains in the basement and ran a new water line. Talk to Andrew.
• All Canadian Self Storage: Brand new, drive-in self-storage facility.
• Home Inspection Services: We used Ken Haller for our home inspection.
• Dennis Contracting: The contractor that we’ve hired to work on our new house.
• Altima Kitchens: The company we hired for our Kitchen Cabinetry and Countertops.
• Sears: We used a gentleman named Sastri at the Sears in the Eaton Centre to buy our kitchen appliances and our BBQ. We found he aggressively discounted their prices and his service is exceptional.

• Dok Electric: Talented electricians who did a TON of work at our place. Very friendly guys. Replaced all of the knob and tube and completely re-wired the main floor including a bunch of pot lights etc.. Ask for Danny. No website so here is their phone number - 416-678-7790
• J Romano Disposal Services Inc.: We’ve booked our garbage bins through these guys for the debris removal of the demolition of our main floor. No website so here is their phone number - 905-669-2323
• Giant Carpet and Flooring: Wide selection of wool and wool blend carpets that are well priced.
• Gentek Windows: We’ve gone with Gentek windows and doors from Dennis Windows and Doors.
• Darren Hamar Painting: Darren did our downstairs bathroom in our old house and has done a lot of painting and taping and mudding at the new house. This guy in UNBELIEVABLE. • Elte - Ginger’s Bath: This is where we bought out bathroom fixtures and kitchen faucet. Beautiful store with great stuff. Check out their sale area for great deals.
• Taps: The store where we purchased our kitchen sink.
• David Horwood Limited: We used David Horwood for our land survey. Nice people.
• Bay Bloor Radio: This is where we purchased Totem in-ceiling speakers and wire.
• Best Buy: Where we got the flatscreen television on a Boxing Day special price.

• Cordell Mechanical: These guys have done our plumbing, gas line for our range in the kitchen and handled all of our boiler and rads needs. They have a strong work ethic and will do what is necessary to complete the job on time. Website is just a placeholder so call Aaron at 416-528-7473
