For Kirk and Anke Simpson this is our second house and might well be the house of our dreams. Five years ago we purchased our first starter home and successfully renovated it for a substantial profit (after really enjoying living in it).

Anke confesses to be a home decor magazine junkie. She keeps an ongoing file of inspirational tears of things that she loves in the event that reno’s will be taking place. She has worked in the home decor industry for over 10 years including 5 years as a Director of Buying for Caban and is currently a Director of Buying for the Gift and Lifestyle department at Indigo.

The goal of this site is to show the realistic behind the scenes process of a renovation. None of the contractors or suppliers that we talk about on this site are giving us a discount or free merchandise. Our comments are based on our real-life experience with these people rather then any sort of quid pro quo for us.
