Basement bathroom minutes away from being finished

May 23rd, 2009 · 4 Comments

Meanwhile the basement bathroom is nearly complete as well.

All that is left is for Jim to finish painting the baseboards, door and rad.

We didn’t have a lot of luck finding a paint colour we were both happy with. It took some “negotiation”. In the end we landed on a dark grey that adds some masculinity to the “man-cave” basement.

Here’s how it is looking:

Love the light fixture over the sink and the paint colour–can you let me know where you got the light and what the colour is?

    Hi Alison

The light is a Home Depot special! Nice and inexpensive. Perfect combo!

We originally put cement grey on the walls (Benjamin Moore) and found it too purple-y.

So we asked them to darken it to the next one on the paint swatch but we forget the name of it. Still a touch too purple-y for us to be 100% happy but it’s very close.

    Cheers.

Where did you get the shower light. I assume it’s ‘waterproof”? also do u have a pic of the tiles mentioned - subway, glass/etc.

    Hi there

It is a “waterproof” pot light from Home Depot. There are lots of pictures of the tiles if you look through the archive.

    Best.
