Next on the agenda - fix up the main bathroom and second floor laundry

January 10th, 2009 · 5 Comments

We’re moving to the next stage of our renovation. It’s time to tackle the second floor laundry room and our main bathroom. Both are a disaster and in fact the plaster ceiling of the second floor laundry room fell onto the floor a couple of months ago. We removed the rest of it to ensure everyone’s safety.

As we’ve mentioned in previous posts we are adjusting to the new economic reality like everyone else. We’re going to do the majority of the work in the laundry room ourselves and are going to shop for deals for all of the bathroom fixtures (while ensuring that the look of the room is in keeping with the rest of our house).

These are the last two room to be done (minus the basement) so we’re excited to get them done.

Here’s what the rooms look like now. As you can see we have a lot of work to do! We’ll be posting inspiration and updates as we progress.

Hi ya. I just wanted to remind you of the Rona clearance store at Warden & Eglinton, I saw a shower enclosure/glass similar to what you’re looking for there a few weeks ago, and lots of other deals for plumbing and whatnot.

Also for “finishing” stuff, there’s a “$100 off a $500 regular priced purchase” coupon for West Elm available at the back of LouLou Magazine (fashion magazine, weird, I know). Hope that helps!
