The new windows on the first and second floor have already begun to improve the look of the house from the street. We’re really happy with the colour that we chose for the trim of the outside of the windows. We went with “canyon clay” from the Gentek colour swatches and then white for the interior.
Be careful when choosing measurements for window details- the grid detail on our windows ended up being shorter than we had anticipated because rather than measuring 12 inches down from the top of the glass, they measured 12 inches down from the top of the window frame. We still like the overall look but would have preferred it being the extra 3 inches longer as anticipated.
Once the third floor windows go in and we fix up and paint the front porch and front door it will really have impact.
Here was the house when we bought it in the fall:
And here it is today with some of the new windows installed:

I’ve been unpacking boxes, so haven’t had a chance to see the updates until now.
Wow! You have really been busy! It’s really starting to come together. I think the kitchen is what really makes it. I can’t wait to see it with all the appliances in!

Neither can we! The countertops and the backsplash will make a big difference as well. We’re hoping to have these done in the next 2 to 3 weeks. We’re almost there!
