Today’s Progress

Here are some pictures of what things look like today. We passed our insulation inspection so let the drywalling begin!

This is what the back of the house looks like now with the majority of the back addition down. They have opened up the space where our french doors and transom will go and have bricked up our old back door.

Here is what the door placement looks like from the inside of the house (it’s the part that is boarded up):

I hope you took caution with the lead dust and the kids.

Everything was removed from the house before we moved in. We also didn’t sand down any of the original trim/ baseboards (and thus reach any original lead based paint) but painted over.

    Hello Anke,

Firstly, great concept with this site…very impressive. If you guys are in any need of labour help throughout this project we would love to help. Rent-a-Son provides reliable, insured and trained labour help for any home improvement/maintenance task. I also noticed that you guys are using All Canadian Self Storage for your storage. We work with their customers to provide loading/unloading help for their mobile service. Let us know if you need anything. We would be honored to participate in this cool project.

    All the best!
