Krista Wood from Vancouver Island was kind enough to share her renovation story with us (if you would like to submit yours please send before and after shots to 247reno@gmail.com - we’d love to see them). Here it is in her words and photos:
“I have recently renovated and sold my first investment property. I lost money on it, unfortunately, but I learned a lot, and I’m very proud of the end product. I bought this house in an old coal mining community that was known for it’s low income, and shady characters. But I also knew that the neighborhood was changing. I bought and old mining house, that had been moved in the 50’s from the actual mine, for $140,000. It took me 6-7 months to renovate, and I sold it for $226,500. I ran into some bad contractors, and the house had more problems than we anticipated, but we stuck to our guns, and made everything right. Here are some pictures! Hope you enjoy them.”
