Juggling schedules

November 10th, 2007 · No Comments

It’s down to crunch time and we have exactly 19 days to get the 2nd and 3rd floors ready to move in. This includes ripping out all of the carpet on the 2nd and 3rd floors, refinishing the hardwood on the second floor, converting the electrical to new wiring, patching and painting the walls, baseboards and ceilings and putting in carpet on the 3rd floor.

Ideally we’d like to have the electrical done first, then the patching and painting, the hardwood and finally the carpet. The electricians can only start on Wednesday so that pushes back when the walls can be worked on… the only way to have a hope at getting everything done on time was to schedule the hardwood to be done first because they’re able to start first thing on Monday morning. It will take 4 days and at that point the electrician will be ready to go in. Hopefully our new floors survive!
