If you’re planning any renovations definitely check out the ecoENERGY Retrofit Grant offered by the provincial and federal government. It can help save you alot of money if you’re making your home more energy efficient ie. putting in new windows, furnace, insulation etc.

I was able to get an appointment with one of their Engery Advisors listed on their site- not an easy feat as they are booked out 6 weeks in advance! You have to have an advisor assess your home BEFORE any renovations take place in order to qualify.
